Instantly convert your towed StarFish into a pole mounted sonar. Simply clamp the bracket to the fixing holes at the top of your StarFish Side Scan Sonar and insert any pole with an outside diameter of 25mm (1"). The pole can then be secured to your vessel or platform
- Ideal in congested waterways where towing the StarFish might cause it to get snagged on an obstruction or caught in another boats prop
- Creates a more flexible system for surveys in shallow water where precise target localisation is needed

All 450F systems from StarFish Seabed Imaging Systems are fitted with a fixed 20m cable
With the introduction of the 452F and 990F sonar heads, their inline sub-sea 'Impulse' connector allows the towing cable to be interchanged. Both systems are now shipped with a 20m towing cable as standard; you can however purchase a replacement cable or indeed have more flexibility with a 50m cable as outlined below.
Please note that this cable is not suitable for users with the now legacy 'D-Type connector' top-boxes, (please see page 5 of the Product Update to identify which connector your system has).

StarFish Seabed Imaging Systems are now shipped with a 20m towing cable as standard. However, with the introduction of the 425F and 990F sonar heads, their inline sub-sea 'Impulse' connector allows the towing cable to be interchanged.
The 50m cable option is a StarFish accessory, offered to provide flexibility on larger vessels. Where a large amount of cable is required on deck, the 50m option allows the system to be installed while still leaving sufficient cable length for flying the StarFish.
The 50m towing cable accessory is supplied on a rugged and compact reel that provides a quick and convenient method of storing the cable without introducing the twisting often seen when manually coiling (that in-turn could cause the sonar to tow at an angle).
